Anybody go? What did you see that you liked?

We made the trip this past Saturday and Sunday. Saturday went to both Qwest and SLU. Went back to Qwest on Sunday to see if we really liked what we thought we liked.

Several things caught our eyes:
1) Sea Ray 330 Sundancer (finally got to see one in person, liked what we saw)
2) Four Winns 378 (loved this boat...diesel, IPS, big, luxury, 'spensive, did I mention IPS?)
3) Chaparral 350 (they've done a good job on this one)
4) huge selection of dinghy's at almost reasonable prices
5) Cobalts, Chris Crafts and Navigators to drool over.
6) When we win the lottery, there's a Nordhavn in our future
7) It was cool to go out on the football field and check out the boats...though my daughter thinks it was smaller than it looks from the stands! :)
8) Weird to go to a boat show in the snow!

How reasonable were the dinghy's? We're after an inflatable with a high pressure floor that will hold 4 adults and can handle a 10 HP motor? My son and I will be there on Saturday to look for our laundry list of stuff! The inflatable is VERY high on that list!! We'll look at the Sea Ray's, but spend more time looking at the accessories and electronics. We need a chartplotter and CO detector too.

Well, maybe "reasonable" was overstating it. :)

Saw a Boston Whaler (hard-sideed) with a 25HP motor for $10K. (+/-), and a Zodiac inflatable with a cockpit/station, 4 seats and 40HP motor for $17K.

The Boston Whaler price doesn't seem that bad I don't think I can lift it onto the swimstep or stow it very well! And $17K for the Zodiac seems a bit steep! I'm sure it's chump change for a lot of folks, but I'm no chump! :) I bought the 250 DA for about the same amount of money! I'm still anxious to get there on Saturday and I'm hoping I can buy an inflatable that they don't want to take home REAL cheap! I know I'm dreaming....

I check in on that site periodically as well as the Inflatable Boat Works site. I'll find one eventually! I'm comparing all of these to the $700 or $800 8.5 from Baltik on eBay. It may take a while! Thanks for posting that though, you just never know what might pop up!
