Good day all. I just purchased a 2012 240SD. The upholstery is 95% nice but the staples have rusted out of the flip up bolsters in helm and front passenger seat. The material is fine and I'm confident in my ability to repair, however I can't figure out how to remove the bolsters from the seats. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all and happy boating!

Thank you for the reply. Got home tonight and decided to knuckle down and figure it out. What a PITA! The seat bottoms had to come off but they were not vercroed, they were held in by opposing pressure clips ( best way I can describe them). Then the bolsters were basically popped into sockets in the seats. They required a little prying to get them out but we succeeded. I'll post step by on how we did it to hopefully save someone else the headache.

Sounds just like mine.
There are 2 screws securing the seat bottom to the frame, but those 2 plastic blocks on the seat bottom cushion that snap into the seat frame are really tough to disengage. They are what really hold the cushion down.

I had one screw and those 2 plastic knobs. A couple long flathead screwdrivers did the trick then a little elbow grease to lift the seat bottom out. It was wedged in there pretty good.
