search function

was trying to find the thread I just started about speaker replacement so I type "speaker" for my search and my thread did not come up. I change to "speakers" for my search and my thread did come up.

So does the search function use whole words only? Most search functions would return speaker as well as speakers for the search of "speaker". Is it possible to to that here as well?

It is a known fact the search features leave a lot to be desired. I'll use google for the search term plus clubsearay.com added to it.

I agree this forum lacks significantly in the search function department. It could also do with a good FAQ or "stickies" section. If we had that then people would not have to say "use the search function" so much, especially since the search function does not work well.

I bailed out on the search function a long time ago.

This is the standard way to Google around the bad search feature. Type in

site:clubsearay.com searchterm searchterm

and it will pull it all up for you, limited to this site.
