Searay models

Pretty cool! Report back with estimates.

Just noticed the prices on just a model of a transom is $400 for a 5 inch. I couldn't imagine what a good sized custom model would be.

I just requested a quote on a 24 inch 470DA….I'm thinking 2k? maybe….I'll update once I know

Got a quote from them; They are very proud of their models... $1,095 for a 12", $1,395 for an 18", $1,695 for a 24"

A 4' model is $2,895 :wow:

I don't want one that bad :smt021

Yea, that's more than we paid for our first ski boat !! There are still running boats for sale for that kind of money. However, if my career limited my boat usage to only a few times per year, as is obviously the case with a lot of the bigger vessels in our club, then having a model of the boat somewhere in your office would serve as a reminder of why you're there in the first place and of all the awesome family memories that boating brings. I think in that case it would pay for itself for years to come. Kinda like havin' a picture of your kids on your desk. What's that worth eh?

Wow thanks for getting those quotes jim I just hadn't got to it yet.
Yeah those are some high prices for a little model boat but it does look like they do beautiful work. Maybe someday in the future I'll be able to afford one but for now I'll just stick with the full size.
