Seafood: East V. West

Also, don't buy that farmed Atlantic crap some of the bastard grocery and Costco buyers are pushing on us. It's bad for you.WILD only!!!

Farmed raised salmon are feed pellets with red dye to color their meat, not shrimp as wild caught eat. (The pink in wild salmon comes from the shrimp). Some salmon don't like shrimp and feed mainly on herring or other small fish. They have white meat, not pink. White meat salmon are rare...

All I have to say is, THANKS, WEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Momma's eatin' good tonight!

Don't need no stinckin' crab cakes.

Depends on the size range you want......those were 9.95/lb. and and right near 2 lb.
They totaled roughly 40.00 bucks......Hampton was nice enough to buy me a bowl of lobster bisque!
It was good but nothing like that abalone bisque I had in Monterey, CA

I have heard the mayonaise recipe for bluefish but not striper....striper is such a nice whitefish I would hate to ruin it with mayo:wow:.
Little spritz of lemon some dill good to go.
Gary how do you usually cook bass down there?

If you haven't tried it how could you say that it would ruin it? I have had it both ways and a thin, I mean thin coat of mayonnaise is the best in my opinion. But that is only my opinion.

Do NOT serve your date lobsta! It's a bad investment (just kidding).

John, looks like everyone had a blast and the admiral enjoyed the lobstas! Looks like you may have had to share the night with the cat! Next time you'll have to limit her wife before dinner:lol:

Nonsense! She's a trained professional! She hangs out with boaters. Truth is, I worked late evenings on Mon and Tues, so, I kept her up late early in the week, and she gets up early, so she was exhausted. All was well. I smoked a cigar, had another beer, watched an old (stupid) Sly Stalone movie, then carried her off to bed. All in all, a nice evening.

Looked like a good time and meal anyway.
