Comments on the "Sea Wise" manual system please. We have a 2000 410 Dancer. Standard three foot swim platform. Rep says the system weighs mayber 75 pounds.

Thanks

never mind...google gave me a quick answer. We looked at this and Weaver, the wife said no. She thought it looked odd...she convinced me it looked odd, but not everyone likes choc ice cream either...right?

I saw the sea wise system at the boat show last year. He had a working demo. It certainly worked but I agree with your wife. Too many moving parts. I went with the Hurley Davit and have been quite pleased.

Whops - Somehow I logged in as guest.... anyways -

i used the Sea Wise system on my 44 carver my.. the company was great for service, system need to be modified a few times for my boat..all at no charge. Stuart Colby is the CEO and activley involved in my purchase and ongoing adjustments to make it fit 100%.

When upgrades were made on the system, he called me and sent the Parts..no charge!! WE used it 5 seasons and were very pleased.

Not sure what will fit on my 29 , or what we will do for a new dink, but i will look at SeaWise again.

Ditto,
I'd be curious to hear what you go with, since I have the same boat. Storage is tight on the 290. I have no genset. I'm tossing around the idea of a 6' Baltic fold-up and putting it where the genset goes, inflating it as needed, which should not be often.

I have it on very good intel that WEST is comeing out with a new line of dinks in 08..lower cost.. made for 4 strokes. I use mine almOST every day we go out.. my current one is to big for this boat, all fiberglass (tubes too) "BOSS" BOAT WITH A 20 HP..

Roll up could work too.. we can compare notes.. joe
