My frustration has not gone away, nor has the burn mark on my seat from someone's cig this weekend. :smt013 :smt089 I have an 02 240 SD and I want to get it fixed.

What are my options? Looking at the parts manual it appears that I might be able to just order the material and have a shop put it on. Is this correct or do I just have to order a whole new seat? It's the lounger on the passenger side. Anyone else had a seat repaired? It's hardly noticeable to anyone but me, but I'm the one who matters.

Thanks in advance

Vinyl can be easily repaired by pros or you can order "skin" from searay. I've never seen fabric repaired which looked good after repair.

If it's just discolored, and not melted, give it a little while, as the sun bleaches out stains.

MM just called and its 246 for the skin, but suggested that I bring it in and it could probably just be repaired. At least if it doesn't match or look right, I know what the worst case scenario is (which is less than I thought it would be).

find local vinyl repair guy an will cost $30 - $100 to repair
if repair is done right, you wouldn't know where were damaged

Where can I find original (looking) fabric for my 1975 Weekender 300

The old "three year old thread resurrection attempt" huh?

Pokeefe,

I just had several cushions recovered and the vinyl fabric and design match is so close quests cannot distinguish between the new and 25 year old original. The work was very reasonably priced and done by:

They do good work. Most of the Indy area dealers use them for canvas and vinyl work.
