Sea Ray & me

Rusty, I'm guessing one of the best benefits of doing the job you did at SR was gathering the many memories over the years.

You held the job that many of us have pleasant dreams of doing.

Well Capt. Rusty, I don't think you're going to struggle finding references for your new job. As a 25 year owner of Sea Rays I regret that I never got to meet you in person and shake your hand to say thank you. This forum, and you specifically, have helped me immensely over the years in the servicing and enjoyment of my boats.

Please stay with us regardless of the path you take as we all will want to enjoy your future even though we'll be feeling a little jealous of the new community you'll eventually join.

I always wanted to meet you at a boat show or plant tour, but never found the opportunity. Maybe one day at a CSR event we will cross paths.

Congratulations on your service at Sea Ray and your retirement.

Yes, Rusty held a job many do have pleasant dreams of, BUT, he had some of the not so glamorous jobs that have to be done so we can enjoy the quality of a Sea Ray. I can only imaging laying up a hull...

So we should also thank him for that service too...

MM

Rusty,

It was great getting to know you. Here is to your new adventures. Keep us posted.

Chuck

Merry Christmas Rusty! Thanks for your support of ClubSeaRay over the years. While you and I never spoke in person we did shout "hellos" to each other when you brought a new 650 Fly into Annapolis Harbor a few years back. I caught a pic of me with you in the background.

Capt. Rusty, best wishes for you in your future plans and success.
Thank you for the discussions we have had as I look for my next Sea Ray.
Take Care

Best to you in your future adventures Rusty! You have proven yourself to be (many times over) a rare true gentleman in this business and I'm sure that will serve you well as you embark upon your next journey. Lisa and I will hope to see you out on the water in the coming years! Best to you and your family, Captain!

It was, and still is my true privilege to have been of any assistance, or support to you and your Sea Ray boat. I so much enjoyed our conversations and visits, that I wish to be of more readiness to lend an opinion on a Sea Ray possibility in your future. Or to discuss travel routes from North to South, East to West, or over the horizon to the Islands, with all the cool marinas and places to go.

I hope I represented the company well, and will do my best to support the brand whenever the talk is about SEA RAY !

Thank you for all for your kind words. I am just retired, I am not dead........yet, lol !

less talk, more pictures of Sea Ray boats with me at the helm...

It would be interesting to know just how many people this man touched as a fellow friend and a Sea Ray ambassador, just like this.

MM

Put me on the list. Great guy...helped me several times, including critical input on the purchases of my last two boats. I would love to meet him some day!

Rusty,
All the best to you in your future endeavours, whatever they may be!

Thanks again for the knowledge and assistance.

Let me know if you ever need anything up North in Ottawa, Ontario...I hope you don't this time of year! :)

I can't thank you enough for how you helped me get into the right boat. Your expertise and guidance was phenomenal, and we love your recommendations. Because of your guidance, our enjoyment of our Sea Ray is off the charts. You went so far beyond the call hooking me up with Gregg, and even helping me in getting Florida Bow Thrusters to install my hydraulic platform. You took care of so many details for me, and guided me throughout the process in an incredibly generous way. Sea Ray is losing a great guy and ambassador. Hoping to meet up in the Keys or in the Bahamas soon. Hope your new year brings you calm seas, and many no wake zones, Richie and Shannon

Congratulations on your new direction. We never met but you were more than gracious with guidance to not only myself but numerous others on this site and in person. To call you a brand ambassador does not do you justice. I wish you the very best!

p.s. If you get bored and want to get your hands dirty on a 390EC mine is right nearby at Bluepoints. It always needs some sort of attention. I'll put ya on the list for access. LOL :)

Thank you all so very much. I hoping to stay in the marine world but who knows what the future holds.

At my age and crusted personality, I am surprised there are some who have contacted me about a job to the point where instead of picking one, I intend to begin my own course so I can be available for a variety of different discussions.....i.e, going to buy a Sea Ray boat, my insight may help. Going to navigate the East or West Coast, the Gulf or the Islands? I've probably been there, done that and got the t-shirt, and would love sharing my opinion or knowledge of such places.

I find I now have more time to enjoy CSR and that's a good thing. This forum not only allows us to gain knowledge on our own boats and/or future ones, but it also let's stay in touch with each other....a rascally bunch for sure.

You guys are the best, and this is the best site ever!

How would you like to have this guy along on a long trip. You won't find a better mate!
