Thinking of doing an upgrade/cleanup to an otherwise plain black plexi instrumentation panel on my helm...has anyone done a refurb lately on a 91 or later SR 400EC? Would love to have some pictures, ideas, names of manufactures you used and were succesful at. Attached is currently what I have...

Thanks for any help,

Mike

Mike,

I see you are a new member, welcome aboard. Best solution is to search on 'dash panels' and start reading. Going through the historical postings will not only give you names and contacts, but also before and after pictures to help you make an informed decision.

Just an extra tip, along the same lines as above. Try doing the search for "titles only". It should help narrow it down. You should come up with LOTS of helpful info as it's been discussed many times.

And go look at www.vectorled.com
Scott did my new dash and its GREAT. The photos on his site are of my 400 before and afters.
He can improve the system panal so the red LEDs are behind the plastic.
Also, he laser etches the wording from the back..
Great person to work with. He can do anything you want.

Start by getting that damn extending pole outta the way! :D Good luck and keep us updated. Updating is always fun and cheaper than buying new!

Just to give you my opinion. I think that dash looks pretty darn good the way it is now .

Scott from Vector just made me a new gauge panel. I sent him my panel in 2 pieces with the corners cracked off and he made a new one that fit perfect. Excellent quality and craftsmanship.
