Hello Club Sea Ray,
We just purchased our first Sea Ray this month. It is a 2005 Sea Ray Amberjack 290. We have been boating for many years, mostly as crew on both power and sail boats and renting boats in the BVI's for vacations.

We will mainly be cruising in the Chesapeake Bay area, since we are near Solomon's Island.

We have already gotten some great information from this group so far when we were looking for our boat. Now that we have one, we plan to be searching for answers and suggestion as questions arise. Plus will try to help others with theirs.

Looking forward to seeing members out on the water.

Congratulations on your "new" AJ 290. We traded ours in this past April at Prince William Marine in Woodbridge, VA for a new 310 Sundancer.

We really enjoyed the Amberjack and only traded to get a little larger boat with the Axius drive system.

Welcome to the board! Man...An Amberjack, nice!! I sort of think I'd rather have an Amberjack than my Sundancer simply because from what little I know about the differences, it seems to me the Amberjack is more suitable for fishing out of. You will most definitely find a lot of good information here, enjoy your stay!

Just in time for great rockfish! Congratulations, I've been over to Solomon's Island in the boat a couple of times this year. Great area, but sure can get busy (compared to Potomac that is).

Welcome to CSR! Also, congrads on the new boat. :) From what I've heard, she sounds sweet.

When you get a chance, please add your boat info into your signature...it helps folks help you if you have any questions.

We hope to get out Sunday weather permitting, we'll be looking for ya. Tell KT I said hi!

CJ and the other members thanks for the welcome.

CJ if your out on the water Sunday let us know or maybe you can stop by on land if the weather looks to questionable.

See y'all on the water soon.

Yeah this weekend is not looking good for boating. :smt009

I'll give you a call tomorrow and we'll see if we can't get together. I would really like to see your new toy.

Mostly hang out about Stingray Point and Windmill Point at Rappahannock. If we wander beyond that, it's where the fish are.
