Hi All,
Found this forum on google and thought I would pop in and pick your brains for some information!
I purchased a Sea ray 501 zp last year.
its a great boat, its my first.
Few questions,
-Are they noted for being hard to get to trim? I have mine with the engine lowered all the way in to get it to trim any higher it starts to skip up and down.
-I have looked everywhere and cant find a full canopy/camper canopy for it, this and a bow cover is what I really want, any tips?

Any general tips and info on the boat would be appreciated,
Many thanks,
Brian.

Brian are you sure you don't have a "Stingray" 501 zp ? Never heard of a Sea Ray by that model .

My stingray would porpoise pretty bad, it was a 556 zp. Some smart tabs will help the situation. Its a really light boat with barely any bite from the running strakes. Mine would slide alot in turns and ventilate. As far as the canvas goes you could contact stingray boats in Hartsville SC. It could also be custom made.
