I am looking at a 1989 sea ray 345 for sale on yacht world. I went and looked at the boat and had a really really thorough look through the boat and I couldn't find anything too bad. Only problem was the door to the master stateroom would clip the frame on the top and would not close. Its easy to fix but I would just like to know why. Also the boat has all rebuilt Transmissions, engines and have repacked rudder and shaft seals with only 20 hours and all the paperwork on file. This boat looks absolutely perfect outside and super clean inside other than I would change the carpet and couch color. But I really don't know much about these boats :huh:. The broker said no sea trials or even starting the engines until there is a accepted offer and a 10% deposit:smt089. So I don't know how these things ride, they're cruising speeds, they're fuel burn etc.... I will get a structural survey and a mechanical survey for sure but before any of that I really want to know if there are some obvious things I need to know about these boats. There is not much info on the internet about this model and this is my first post on clubsearay and hope i can find out something useful. Thank you everybody in advance!
