Hi All,

I have just acquired a 340 DA 2007 with twin Yanmar 6lp stp on shafts.

Expected delivery in two weeks.

Is there anything I should know.

Does anyone have any consumption vs speed data.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks in anticipation

Best regards

Chris

Welcome Chris. There is a rule here. We need pictures. Yanmars huh. Didn't know SR put those in their boats

Thanks for replying.

OK, apologies, I will post some pictures tomorrow.

2003 model Sea Ray 340 Sundancers were fitted with Yanmars on shafts I think especially for europe. The one to be delivered is a 2007 model.

If you look at European used boat listing you can see some examples.

The spec sheet at Sea Ray's website list this package as an option.

They also produced them with Volvo diesels on duo prop stern drives.

What I cannot find is any performance vs consumption data tables.

Best regards,

Chris

Wow I just notice where you are from! No wonder I didn't know. Read an interesting article today about Gibraltar, Spain and the UK. Didn't even know it belonged to the UK......learn something everyday.

Well anyway welcome and hopfully someone else will chime in here on performance.

Hey Chris,
Welcome aboard. I dont know anything about yanmars, but been to " the rock" a couple of times when i was in the navy. Great place to visit and have some pints!

Welcome aboard Chris. Please send photo's....

I visited the Rock many times in a previous life.
Fun place to visit, drink, and smoke some affordable Cubans.
and nothing is more interesting than the road that crosses the airports runway!
Welcome

Ron

That is the coveted white whale here in the US. One of the best designed boats and most popular by Sea Ray matched with a reliable, fuel efficient, and long lasting diesel engine.

based on what I calculated when I considered refitting my boat... About 2 miles to a gallon of diesel.

I just bought 305 sedan Bridge from -89 and it has two NATO approved Austrian Steyr Diesels 236 hp per engine. Reason for such kind of modification is the price of gasoline here in Finland. Approx 8,5 dollars per gallon :/
