Has anyone "Brush" Painted a sink top before ?
I was wondering about the brush strokes shown on the top ? Any recommendations ? I have a mint green top, wanting to go either white or black.

Thanks

Tom

Tom,

Being in the "paint applicator" business, I would suggest following the recommendations of the manufacturer of the coating that you will be applying. I know of a few "counter top" paints, but they are mainly for applying over laminates. Not sure what you would use for fiberglass. Since it is a countertop where food preperation may take place, make sure you use a coating that inhibits the growth of mold, mildew, etc. Do a Google search for countertop paints and you should find something.

If no recommendation is given, I would suggest trying to roll on a finish rather than brushing. Since the area won't be that large, I would use some type of mini-roller. Don't be cheap when selecting the applicator. Use a high quality cover. Either a foam cover or a woven, shed resistant fabric cover.

Good luck with the project. Post some before and after photos.
