Had a fun morning. I used to own a pristine SR 230 CC (1985), which was one of our favorites. A friend from work got a nice 1996 230 Cuddy, and all I can say is WOW! Awesome boat. Great size for the lake, handled the chop very well, and had a good deal of room. Had great acceleration, and engine access was outstanding.

My friend and his wife are new to Sea Rays and boating, so I enjoyed getting out to help them on their first trip out. Hope to see them here soon!

I am partial to the 230 as well  . Glad your friend is enjoying his new purchase.

SeaRide, I want your boat. I wish I would have bought it back when I got my 185. It's the perfect size and I really like the way the late 90s look. Are you the original owner? Moving up anytime soon? Or maybe downsize to a nice 185?

Thank you for the compliment Mike. I have always liked your vintage 185 as well since our boats share the same lines.

Yes, I am the original owner. I took delivery of the boat Feb. 1999. My wife has had plans for me to upgrade to a 260 or 280DA for the last several years. However, since I am the one paying, I can assure you that there are no plans to upgrade in the near future.

If you can get Searide's boat you will have a perfect ten. Charley's boat looks better than when it came off the show room floor. It is very embrassing to dock in front of him.

Charley: When the wife is happy...

What you can't get her to get a second job to pay for it. :smt043

PS I could not get Judy to get one for that big new 48SB we saw while in Charleston on our trip. :smt043

Richard if I had to do more boating on the rough bay we were on, would have to get a biger boat.

Hey Chuck, you need to come boat in the coastal area more, you would then understand that was not rough that was normal.

Paul,

Thanks for the compliments and yes she would be happier with a bigger boat, boat then it would take me twice as long cleaning.

Rich,

What a tough life she lives. Some symapthy though. Keeping up with two rug rats all day long can be wearing.

Chuck,

I am having major problems convincing her to get a job let alone a second job  .
