First off, hello everyone!!

I currently own a 1990 Sea Ray 160 with only 33 hrs on the clock. My wife and I love the boat, but we're looking for something a little bigger, as we enjoy fishing, diving and other offshore activities. Recently I found a 1994 220 Overnighter with 12 hrs on a new engine and 260 on the boat; however, I have a few concerns. First, there is a soft spot on the floor, specifically in front of the swim platform on the port side. Also, the boat has bottom paint. Is this an indication that the boat was in a wet slip (currently in dry slip)? Finally, the outdrive has been painted, indicating to me that there was a significant amount of corrosion, maybe from constant exposure to saltwater in a wet slip. I've never owned an i/O, so I'm a little worried about maintenance costs. As far as the floor goes, I'm worried that the soft spot could be an indication of extensive rot. Unfortunately I know that this could be the case from experience. A small patch job on my own Sea Ray turned into a complete stringer replacement.

Any insight is definitely appreciated!
