HI,

I have a 94 Sea Ray 220 OSV and am cleaning up for the Spring. I am having a lot of odd electrical issues. Everything starts out fine, batteries are charges, cables clean and tight. When I turn the key, there is sparking at ignition connections and sometimes engine turns over and othe rtimes it won't and entire electrical system goes out.
After a while it comes back on.

Anyone had similar issues - any suggestions on what, where to check? Are there hidden fuses or circuit breakers in engine compartment?

Even though the cable ends may look clean, corrosion can work it's way underneath the sheathing. Peel a little of it back and check. Don't forget to check the other end of each cable, along with the grounds.

Hi pacfood,

Just checking in to see if you found the problem. I have a 2010 Sea Ray Sport 185 and lost all electrical yesterday about 3 different times. The symptoms sound familiar - after waiting 2-3 minutes, I could get her to start back up. But, once I got going again, same thing - lost all power. It's in the shop now but the service manager wasn't very reassuring with his "hmmmmmmm, sounds interesting" comment!!!
