SCOTUS reject Texas

MN been on limited lockdown for some time now. There was some easing over the Summer through November, but then restarted again. Schools have been closed for 9 months. Our illustrious Governor told us yesterday, "either MN opens the restaurants and bars or MN opens the schools". WTF?

Everywhere I've been, everyone wears masks and stands on those stupid 6' social distance circles because apparently people are too dumb to figure out 6'. You can't walk in any public place without one. So why are we having this resurgence of cases when most are doing as they're told and if these masks are working? (rhetorical)
MN is one of the states where cases plumeted since Thanksgiving. You guys went from just under 7000 to about 3500 per day. Virus is going to virus.

Look if I get COVID I will likely die. My comorbidities: I’m almost 70. I’ve had cancer with chemo and radiation. Likewise I take medication for hypertension, and take immunosuppressant medication to prevent rejection of a transplanted organ. Yes, if I get COVID these will contribute to the severity of the disease. But, my conditions are highly unlikely to cause my demise in the short to mid term, and long term my doctors say it is likely I will live into my mid nineties as my parents did. If I get COVID and die as a result, the reason will be COVID, not that I survived cancer, or an organ transplant.
That's realatively healthy for 70. Everyone is not like you -- many have more serious issues.

In our school district kids go two days a week. Half on Mon & Tues, the other half Thur & Fri, the rest of classes from home. The district next to us goes 5 days a week.

Shaking my head........What's the science behind that? We can drive a 1/2 hour and go sit at a restaurant in Hudson but we're going to put you out of business if you open here. Keith "I like to beat my Old Lady" Ellison is making examples of restaurants who dare defy our Governors orders. Now it looks like jail time. :( However, our Government is still open.

I think it comes down to the level of infection within whatever geographical unit (town, county, school district, etc) is being regulated. Areas with lower levels of infection get more flexibility than those with higher infection rates. In Mass we have stats of test results, hospitalizations, deaths and such on a town by town basis and our open/closed business activities are based off that. The other thing that may be driving this is hospital availability, or concerns of lack of it.

California went from 15k/day to over 35k/day in the past 2 weeks. LA is averaging 10k/day alone.

This is a FB post from my nurse friend in Los Angeles. She lived in a tent in her backyard through the summer because she didn't want to expose her family. Now she can't do that due to personal circumstances as noted here.

Have you noticed that the states with the strictest lockdowns have the worst spread?

That's the problem, our whole STATE is shutdown. Minneapolis MN is not the same as Remer MN. Hudson is in WI and is only 30 minutes away from the Twin Cities.
