I went to the marina yesterday to sand the bottom, to prep it for bottom paint. While sanding I noticed the A/C scoop strainer was full of dead barnacles. So I got a metal wire and started cleaning out the inside of the strainer, breaking and then pulling the shells out. When I had is nice and clean inside I notice a tube in the strainer. It appeared to be attached in front of the opening leading to the sea strainer.
The question is, is there suppose to be a tube or anything else in there? Shouldn't it be totally clear on the inside of the grate?
Keeping the boat in fresh water was so much easier.....:smt021
