Sc5000 or Mercury smartcraft system view faded screen

Just got down to the boat in Palm beach today and the smartcraft does power up. I can see the very outside edges of the screen almost like a halo. If that’s a scenario that may be fixable I’ll be needing it fixed

Hello lazy days. No that is not me although we both do have common ground in this niche market. We do have somewhat of a bussines relationship, but that's about it. He does good work as well and im reluctant to say he has a better website than me. I am located in sw Florida near Sanibel, Naples, Cape Coral. Water and boats are everywhere around my area!

I just bought a 2009 310 Sundancer and have the unreadable screen (LCD inverter or whatever is the problem) issue as well. Does anyone know if the new VesselView screens use the same plug-ins as the 2009 one, as in is it an easy plug and play replacement or did they start using new adaptors?
