San Juan trips this summer?

Hi folks,

I will be new to the area rather soon. Bringing our 390DA out to Seattle and generally just looking to meet up with those familiar with the waters and Marinas.

Not new to boating but clearly new to the Northwest and as such, really could use some advice on marinas we should consider. I will be working near Issaquah but every weekend and then some, would like to be out in the sound.

Hi Tom,

I would be happy to share my local knowledge with you. I am born raised in the area and have been out on Puget Sound for 40 years....

Wife, daughter, dog and I will be boating extensively between Seattle and Vancouver, BC this summer.

Anyone know when the Sea Ray rendezvous takes place at Roche Harbor?

Welcome DG! Can't wait to see your new craft.

Mark's a great resource and a great guy. I'm around too. We're further North and Mark's in the South sound.

We have a family trip planned for the first week of August. We usually start in Roche and run around the Gulf islands for a week. Our standard stops are Otter Bay and Telegraph for minimum 2 days each.

I like the idea of a Columbia trip. My Papa's boat is in Kalama and I still want to trailer down there and meet the new owner and at minimum tie alongside for an overnighter.

I think going down the Columbia and up the Snake river to Fishhook via Ice Harbor Dam would be a fun trip. I've been through other locks a few times and it's a unique experience. I'm guessing it's about 30 miles one way? May, June, August and September are wide open for me. Sooner would be better, but I'm game almost anytime. It's always a good thing to have other folks you know on the water somewhere!

Todd, drag your boat over to the HOT side of the state next summer and tag along!

I live in Sammamish (next to Issaquah). Have moored our boat at Yarrow Bay Marina, in Kirkland, for three years. Covered space. Easy to reach via I90 to 405 then to 520 toward Seattle taking the first exit to Lake Wa Blvd.

Happy to meet for a coffee near Issaquah, other spots on the East Side or in Seattle. Can share my knowledge of local marinas, fuel docks and fun places to visit on our Lakes and in Puget Sound.
