I'm planning to trailer over to Anacortes to launch on the 11th and pull out on the 23 of July. Just wondering if anybody else will be out and about in the Juans? We'll head to Victoria sometime during that trip, probably the second weekend, but we're flexible depending on weather.

Just wondering....

We're planning on our first trip in September. What part of Eastern Wa are you in?

I'm in Prosser these days. Used to live in Spokane and miss the boating up there, but we still have lots of water around here too!

Northen,

We did purchase an annual permit in 2010 when we were there for 2 different trips that were both 2 plus weeks long. This trip won't justify the $120 we'll spend because we usually end up in those areas on the hook. We also spend a couple of nights in Victoria and Friday harbor, so it's tough to make up the $120 on the rest of the nights. It is a convenience factor however!

Sundancer, you need to drag your baby down here and enjoy the great Columbia River boating. While you're here, be sure to make a trip through one of the locks on the Columbia or Snake. It's something to write home about.

I promise to make the journey all the way from Prosser! I WILL call you this year! I still have your number and look forward to meeting you!

I also think we need to have a Columbia River Sea Ray gathering this year. Maybe a day trip somewhere exotic like the mud hole or some place even more remote??

I'd be up for a Columbia River gathering.
We've moved our San Juan trip t August now.

I think we should pick some weekend randomly and see what happens for a get together. Of course, you guys are probably in every weekend? Maybe I'll just let you know when I'm headed down and we can figure it out?

August is a great time to head to the Juans!! There are so many places to visit. Don't forget your passport and make the crossing to Victoria! That's always part of our trip. It's just a great spot in the middle of the city!

Wife, daughter, dog and I will be boating extensively between Seattle and Vancouver, BC this summer.

Anyone know when the Sea Ray rendezvous takes place at Roche Harbor?

I'd be all over a Columbia River Raft-Up, but please try not to schedule it in August. We're headed back to the east coast for the first three weeks of August. We also have a 1-2 week boat trip down to Portland planned, likely in June, but have not set the dates for that. I will have the boat in a yard down there getting some stuff done to it, then we'll probably head down to Ilwaco and out into the Pacific for a quick jaunt just to say we've done it.

Tentatively we will be in: Deer Harbor the 7-8th of July, Poets Cove 9-10th, Maple Bay 11th, Sydney 12th, Victoria 13-14-15th, Roche Harbor 16-17th, Rosario 18-19th, Anacortes 20th then down to Poulsbo for a week or so.

Pack, we may cross paths in Victoria weather pending, along with a few other factors. More as we get closer to launch out of Anacortes on the 11th. We'll see!

And a CR Rendezvous should be a possibility! We just need to check back as the end of May rapidly approaches!

Hi folks,

I will be new to the area rather soon. Bringing our 390DA out to Seattle and generally just looking to meet up with those familiar with the waters and Marinas.

Not new to boating but clearly new to the Northwest and as such, really could use some advice on marinas we should consider. I will be working near Issaquah but every weekend and then some, would like to be out in the sound.

Tom

Guys, if a Columbia River Raft-up becomes a reality, I sure hope y'all include us on the list.

Maybe we could start a trip here in the Tri Cities, go up through Ice Harbor Lock to Fishhook Park. We could overnight there and head back the next day. If you haven't done one of the locks it's definitely a great boating experience.

GFC, I seem to recall, when you bought your boat, trips to the San Juan Islands was something you two planned on doing. What happened ? Vertigo issue on the open seas? Or time and cost ?

I'm all for that Mike, as long as we're in town the weekend it's planned. We have a week long trip planned in July and one I. August.
