Hey guys, I have question, tomorrow I am going fishing, at Raritan Bay and my dad mentioned to me that NJ passed the law and required saltwater fishing license to fish. Is that true?? I have not heard anything about that. Anyone from NJ or knowledge in it can tell me?? Thanks guys

From what I just reviewed, a saltwater license is require now as of Jan 1, 2010. There was a fed bill that was passed and if the states passed license requirements, it vacated fed requirements. CT, NY, RI, MA, NJ passed laws and the license is reciprocal.

Welcome to our world... Costs us in WA state about $75 per license to fish almost everything... I find it amusing how they justify the cost breakdown of the various fees... oh and if fail to report our crab catch the previous year or are late reporting, we get fined for that as well when we reapply for the new year license... even if we failed due to not going out and catching any... what a bunch of crock...
