We are having our little boat show up here in San Francisco next week and we will have the privilege of having Captain Rusty Higgins in attendance on the 23rd and 24th. All of you Northern California Club Sea Ray members that have not met the man should make every attempt to make it to the show those days and speak to him at the Sun Country exhibit (check out the boats too). While he is in town, Rusty has agreed to make it to our Sea Ray Boat Club of Northern California (the only boat club based solely on Sea Rays) change of watch where I will be installed as this year's Commodore. I think he just likes seeing a dock or anchorage full of only Sea Rays, many of which he has had his hands on at one time or another. Get to the show and say hello to Mr. Sea Ray!

Re: San Francisco Boat Show

Ken, I wish I could attend but that can't happen because of other commitments. I missed connecting with Rusty when we were in FL. Have fun at your show.

I swear you guys know my activities better than I do !

Ken is right and I am honored to be able to attend the SFBS next weekend. I will do my best to remain at the Sun Country (Sea Ray dealer) booth just as soon as I arrive on Friday and will be there for the most of Saturday. I have the privilege of being invited to the Sea Ray Boat Club of Northern California, new officers induction ceremony Saturday evening and would not want to miss our man Ken Humphrey being sworn in as the new Commodore for this great club. I have not been to a gathering of these folks since the Circle Cruise a year and a half ago and am so looking forward to seeing them all again.

I am an East Coast guy and a Southerner to boot but I have to say the members of the SRBCNC are the best and share brand loyalty with like we do here on the East. Congratulations to Ken and all he has accomplished in such a short period….job well done Commodore!

Hope to see all I can at the San Francisco Boat Show next weekend! Be safe and come see me if able please, I would truly enjoy meeting you and thanking you for being part of the family we call, Sea Ray owners.

You should come to the Seattle one right after for a day or two Capt. H

So wish I could Todd...was at Lake Union about a year ago. Great place, COLD water for a Floridia boy!

Miami Boat Show is next on the agenda.

I just found out this this 1995 650 Cockpit Motor Yacht will be at the show. Not many of these around so come by and check it out!

I looked at one of these in Annapolis this past Summer. What a great boat! Really nice use of space... easy to say at 65 feet I guess, but even so, they layout was really nice. The interiors can be a tad dated and Frank W says I'm not allowed to have Detroits, but this boat is worth a look for sure; if for no other reason to get a sense of why it bothers some people (like me) when Sea Ray pretends that these new bigger boats that they are building now are some new foray into building yachts. Anyway no need to start that *****-fest again!

And what is with the plant life in that marina in the pics? How is one supposed to get a boat out of there without a lawnmower?

It has a bidet...reason alone to buy it.
Man, that's a lot of white gloss formica.

It eventually dies off in the winter but this year has been bad. We have been utilizing the press to push the politicians. http://www.news10.net/story/news/local/stockton/2014/11/12/water-hyacinth-stockton/18941249/

So, I haven't seen much activity on this thread. We are heading to the show Friday afternoon, will anyone else here be in attendance?

Ken, almost considered flying down from Portland for the day just to meet Rusty! And you of course! have a great show! Congratulations on your new position as Commodore!

Planning to come over from Sacramento on Saturday, I'll look for you :smt001
I can't be there Saturday due to an event I have to put on but Rusty will be there much of the day Saturday. Look for him at the Sun Country exhibit.

Sure looking forward to being at the San Fran Boat Show this weekend and would throughly enjoy meeting you if able. Please come see me!

Miami Show in three weeks.

Jennifer and I will be at the San Francisco Boat Show either Friday or Saturday (depends on work and errands). I will definitely check out the Sun Country booth and see if Captain Rusty is hanging out! I really prefer the Oakland boat show, but I like to do my part and support our hobby. Last year the SF one was pretty small, but they had good parking and I heard they did pretty well in sales. Hopefully it will build some momentum.
