Rust Streak On Isinglass

Friend of mine asked me how to handle it. Not sure. I've used FSR (muriatic acid) with great success on the hull but I'm thinking it's too harsh for the plasticizers.
 
I would assume muriatic would be too rough, too. But, I honestly don't know.

If it was me... I'd probably just start with my normal Isinglass cleaner/detailer. If that didn't work, I might try some CLR. But, I would test it out first in the corner of one of the back pieces.
 
I wonder if your friend has actual rust stains or just aging of the isenglass causing darkness which looks like rust. How old are the isenglass panels?
 
Brand new canvas and isinglass. He got it off with water and Plastx. Probably would have been more of a problem with older material. Thanks to all!
