If not that - sun is the best bet. The sun will bleach it over time.

Thanks Michael and skolbe for your reactions,

I think your right skolbe about the sun bleach, The problem with these stains is that they are not on the vinyl but in the vinyl. (sorry I don't know the right words for explaining this)

You can't rub them off.

But I thought that maybe there is a trick with citron or white gas.

Peter,

The above is absolutely correct. A friend left a cheap wet umbrella on my seat, and it left a black dye stain. We cleaned it, being carefull not to use anything abrasive, and although we did not get it all out, the sun did the rest.

I definitely agree with the Sun method as well. I had some dye leach out of my cockpit cover onto the top of aft bench seat right along the top of the transom. It left a pink staing over the top of it. I can't explain why it was pink when the cover is green but it was. I tried Magic Eraser, Soft Scrub, Westley's Bleach White whitewall cleaner and a variety of vinly cleaners. Nothing worked. I left it in the sun for a few days and it disappeared.

Yes I tried also a couple of these vinyl cleaners but indeed nothing works.
I know for sure that the sun will do the job... but there is no sun!! :smt021
I hope that these stains still disappear after 5 months when it is summer again.
