Verified? These tachs give a lot of people issues.

If verified (sound, performance...), I'd start with the fuel filter, then go to fuel feed issues. Fuel feed issues could come from a clogged line (seems that ETOH is starting to clean crap out of tanks and it's clogging lines), weak/bad fuel pump, kinked hose...

I have somewhat the same issue, although single engine I can only get to 3800 RPM, instead of 4600 RPM on a 7.4 MPI (propped with recommended prop in good shape). They checked compression already, and all cyl are perfect. I guess they are on to other electrical and fuel systems. They have also removed outdrive, inspected all joints, etc, and found all to be good.

I assume you have no vibration or anything. How do you check this, by running just one engine at a time, or can you validate by running both together? It would seem that you'd get some help just by water going by the prop from the propulsion from the other motor (but this is all speculation on my part).

Is prop ok? Can you inspect it? It would seem a damaged prop might cause big issue but that would probably cause a vibration as well.
