Rotella oil and wintering engines

Went to Walmart got the last 5 gallon buckets Rottella oil. And they don’t know when they expect the next shipment. Went to West Marine to buy antifreeze for the engine system I cannot believe it’s 7.99 a gallon for -50 below antifreeze what the hell.

I usually buy bottles of the antifreeze and do the winterization myself. My yard buys it by the 50 gallon drum; I may see if they'll sell me some bulk AF from their supply.

I went two weeks ago to get Valvoline Premium Blue, They said they had to order it so I did order the oil.
Its now two weeks and it is still not in.
They said the oil companies can not get the oil containers for the oil because of Covid

Wallies around here have the regular Rotella. But haven't had the T-6 full synthetic in over a year. At most, they will only have about 4 on the shelf at a time. Delo has been full stocked. Nobody else has the Rotella either.

Went to west marine and bought 24 gallons of -60 to the tune over $210

their stock is already low and they don’t expect many more to show up

I ordered my Rotella from Walmart and it showed up at my door - no issues. It came in three different shipments, so it may have come from different warehouses. $16 a gallon IIRC.

I think the lesson here is to plan ahead a bit this year.

Shipments are so messed up it’s unbelievable. What’s worse are people who don’t get it and like things should be normal. Had a shipment stuck in a Houston warehouse for a week and the customer couldn’t believe it.

concur - it's messed up. Ordered my 12 gallons of Rotella T 1 30w from Walmart last week, free shipping. 8 gallons showed up today. Message from Walmart in an email said shipment was short and they would let me know when and or if they could deliver the balance.

The 2 five gallons bucket at my Walmart where 60.00. = 12.00 a gallon. May have been last year stock? I need 4 more gallons and can’t find it anywhere locally.

I just grabbed 3 five gallon pails of Rotella T1 30w had to go to three different stores to get them!

I called Wholesale Marine as I had contacted others looking for -100 AF. They had some, but said their shipment was a lot less than past years.
