Installed four C.E. Smith rod holders on the boat this spring and a magma grill mount. Used C.E. Smith because the have a threaded 1/2 " hole in the bottom for a fitting to connect to plastic tubing to run the rain water away from anything in the bilge that may be damaged. The install on the port side required the removal of the storage compartment which was replaced afterwords. The starboard side was a little more tricky but doable. Had to take into consideration the diverter fins and had to make a special tool to do the last, rear hole. Cut a hole saw in half and welded a piece of straight automotive exhaust and a mandrel to it. The front holders are 15% and the rear, because they are on the slant, are o%. Bolted in and set with 5200 these babies will hold anything the Chesapeake Bay throws my way.

Well Done. I did my own on my 340. I used the hole saw until it bottomed out, then removed it, then chiseled out the cut portion, then re inserted the hole saw... So that's what those divider panel are called, diverter fins, huh? I had no idea. I figured they are there to keep water out and let air in.
