I have a 1999 560. I need several of the Rocker switches at the Helm. The LED in the switch that signifies if it's on or off has burned out in most of them. It's more of an inconvenience but I would still like them to work.
Anyone know where I can get these?

FPMarine is the place...they did not have the one that I needed but ordered it and it was at my house in a week. $8 for a three way rocker switch.

The lamp in the switch for the 12VDC side of the cockpit refrigerator burned out twice. After the second failure, I replaced it with an LED.

Here's a nice blue LED that should work if you have blue indicators.

It's forward voltage is 3 with a max of 3.6, forward current is 20ma. LEDs require a current limiting resistor. Figuring charging voltage is typically 13.6 to 14.2 volts. So 14.2 - 3 is 11.2. Using Ohm's law 11.2 volts divided by 20 mA is 560 ohms. So you need one of these resistors in series with the LED. Remember to watch polarity with the LED. Unlike light bulbs, LEDs have to be forward biased. The flat spot on the case usually marks negative.

Works well and if you use the right resistor, it's a permanent fix. If you can find 1/4 watt resistors instead, use them. They're smaller and will fit the case better, but I had no problems when I did my switch.

Actually, that's not a bad price for LEDs; I just order a couple dozen. Let you know how it turns out.

Best regards,
Frank
