Ripping up carpet and install Alure flooring in 80s era sundancer 300

That's a good idea I was thinking between the vents or off to the starboard side. Right now I put a line over the bar on the back of the transom to help when climbing back on board. Once I get it I will have to see what I can come up with.

Ken

To mount it the way I did, I had to drill rour new holes in the mounting flange of the ladder in order to be able to straddle the vent, without having the mounting bolts located in the beveled area of the platform.

This is not to do with my flooring project, but does anyone know where can I get replacement drains for my two sinks ? Mine are pretty oxidized and pitted.

Take the drain out and measure the opening. Could be a standard size, for maybe a bar sink. Then you can buy it anywhere.

:smt038My flooring project is complete! Here are the finished photos I promised. I don't want to post too many here, so I will put some in my album.

Man that looks good! What an upgrade.

All that wood tone is just begging for some brass somewhere!

Makes me sick!......
(to go look at mine)

Now I'll have to get started.

Your a true Craftsman.

Nice work 88 ,how many advil, or should i ask bottles of advil?

:smt101Thank you to all. I have to say that it was all of you and this site that gave me the inspiration and confidence to tackle this job. I dont know what I'm going to now....I am running out of things to improve on this thing ! I just got in from the rain, we have been outside all day tearing apart the two transom assys for gimbal bearings, bellows, shift cables, shift shaft, new bell, two new impellers and an upper drive seal. Its done and ready to splash. Need some dry clothes, hot shower and a another bottle of advil !

Very professional job on that flooring Dave! Really came out nice.

Not yet, I hope to be in the Mon. before Memorial Day. All I have to do is the two drive waterpumps and some outdrive paint. I'm just going to touch up my bottom this season and paint the topsides up to the stripes. This week looks like a lost cause with rain forecast basically every day. I can't wait for this weather pattern to change.
My canvas guy is coming along nicely with my new setup, I forgot my camera last time so I'll get some pics next time of the completed (I hope) top.

Yea, our forcast is nothing but crap for the whole week too. This reminds me of the spring of 2009. I am looking forward to the pics of your new bimini set up.

Very nice work. I love the look and will be keeping and eye on your posts to see how it holds up!

88 where on the NE coast are you? Would love to take a closer look at the new floor. Did you have to work around any storage compartments? I believe you ripped up the old rug? Is the floor floating or glued? (Did I spell the correctly?) My whole interior has been done except for the nasty old rug, if I can figure out how to post pictures I will get them up this weekend. Great Job!!

Wake up, I'm not far from you. You are in Medford right? My boat is in my driveway in Wakefield. Send me a PM if you want to check it out. Dave.
