Is it OK to back flush the A/C using the exit through hull fixture to remove the salt water during cleanup after use? Is there anything that would get damaged by forcing the water backwards through the system?
Thank you

Yes it is. Many prime their AC this way if it will not prime itself. It can also be winterized this way.

No problems doing that with the AC system.
The raw water pump will let water flush past it backwards and out the intake.

Is this the best way to winterize the system and if so. How do you force the pink through

If you can find a hose about the size of the thru-hull and simply elevate the bucket of AF, gravity flow is all of the pressure you need.

Last fall, I took my AC pump line off of the seacock and hooked it to a hose that hooks to my 5-gallon winterizing bucket. The bucket of AF was sitting on the cockpit floor with the hose hookup running into the bilge. The bucket was maybe 3-3.5 feet above the hose/pump. I had my wife standing by to turn on the AC and let the pump push the AF through. Before I could tell her-"OK-turn on the AC" I heard liquid running out on the ground. I looked and w/o turning on the AC, the AF had "gravity fed" through the system.
