Ridiculously overpriced? You decide

Not too very long ago, my wife implemented "toy limits". She told me I had to sell a toy before buying another one. Pretty damn unreasonable of her, but after 26 years, training a replacement would have been time consuming...but I digress...

One of the toys she found particularly odious was a Harley Road King which I didn't ride much but looked absolutely bitchin' in its place of honor in the garage...taking a space that would otherwise only have been wasted parking "her" SUV.

After considering sleeping on the couch, I listed it for sale on Craigslist, but slyly put what I thought was an unreasonable price on it. Perhaps the gentleman above is encountering the same set of relationship challenges and found a similar solution.

Or he could just be optimistic...or daft.

A**hole bought the motorcycle. Somebody may buy his boat.

Hey, if you throw enough $h1t against the wall some of it sticks. Can't fault a guy for trying!

Very narrow market. How many people have the capability of towing 14,000#? He'd be more likely to sell it without the trailer. Maybe someone overseas will buy it.

Um, considering I bought this exact boat with the exact same options to a T minus the trailer for HALF of what his opening but still not reserve price is I'd say it's a bit overpriced.

Bill....just think, if you had held out and waited for this one, you wouldn't have needed to buy a trailer!:lol::lol:

Seriously though, I think this guy actually bought this set up for close to list price, and still owes a buttload on this boat. Maybe after his 168th payment, he might finally be on the positive side of the loan amount remaining vs equity of purchase.

BTW....I don't see any takers. And, even at the on line sites, I have never seen a 290 listed for this kind of money.
