RI Air Show

Anyone going?

Love the idea Ross, but That is a long run for me, by boat or land. I think I will need to wait till the Flotilla for that trip.

Hope everyone is well. Can't wait to See you guys in August. By the way, what boat will you be taking on the Flotilla, the 390EC or the one in your signature picture???

I feel the same about Jones Beach. Love to go, but, too far for a maiden voyage. As far as the boats go, well let's just say I'm not sure. I bit off more than I can chew with the Wellcraft. So far, we built a hardtop, built a swim platform, all new wiring, gauges, electronics, canvas, belts hoses, pumps, contaminated fuel and on and on. The boat is currently a construction disaster. Hopefully I can take it to the RI show but there is still a lot to do. I can't even commit to going, but I thought I'd see if anyone else is.

I'm thinking of going if i can convince the wife.
I used to go every year with my parents. We would anchor off one of the near by islands. Then we moved to NH and haven't been since. Now that I've got my own boat I'd like to go down for the weekend. I just need to find a public boat ramp some where in Narragansett bay.

Nice, are you interested in rafting? Do you stay over or is it just a day thing? I've never been. We're thinking of staying the night if we can. Just don't know about anchorage etc.

Sorry Busterman, were you asking me? I assumed it was a day thing but we are open. We are close by in E Greenwich now so we can go either way, if people want to start a raft I think we should go for it!

If you can get into Allens Harbor, thats the spot. We are docked at QDNYC right in the harbor.

Russ, I'll give you a call in the am. We can't make it. My port fuel tank leaked into the bilge, among other things not completed. I really wanted to go this year.

God! I'm old!!! Is it still held off Quonset? I used to go with friends/customers who were about 10 years older than me. . I had a bow rider and they had 40 footers. After the show we would go to, I want to say Potters Cove for a cookout, some beer and an overnight.

No no gennies back then and air conditioning was an open hatch. Morning bath was off the platform! Great memories.

what was it Twain said? When a man returns to his boyhood town he realizes it's not the town he misses, it's the boy!

have a great time all.
