Back in the SRO day, several of you replaced you're cup holders with the nice SS ones. I want to do the same now but want to make sure I'm ordering the ones I want.

The ones I remember were the ones with a stepped, padded bottom and a drain. Shaped like the plastic ones but in SS. Most I see after-market are simple "cans".

Thanks in advance!!!

Jim...........After my experience with the ones I ordered from Boater's World and Jeremy's experience with the factory SS cups he ordered from his dealer, my recommendation would be to get the genuine Sea Ray ones from your dealer.

Mine had two problems. First of all I had to enlarge a couple of holes to get them to fit. Next, even though they were good quality and were "stepped" and had drains that you could attach the hoses to, the black padding they supplied for the bottom of the cups just "shriveled" up and I wound up having to remove the padding completely. The factory pads are much thicker and won't shrivel.

Thanks Dave.

Guess I'm glad I waited and got some feedback after some hours were on them. I haven't ordered anything form the dealer in a while, guess this could be a chance to give them a token purchase.

Jim.... the ones from the "factory"/"dealer" seemed to hold up very well on my old 220 BR.... I cannot remember how many hours I put on em.... but the way I drink Dr. Pepper.... the drivers cup holder likely held 100 + cans, bottles, etc. They were still perfect when I got rid of the boat..... the new owner has not complained.... so.......

I would also like to upgrade to the SS holders. The white starts to get dirty and moldy very easily. Does anyone have any idea of the cost of these through the dealer? :smt017

$13 each @ Boaters World for the ones I put in my 210 BR. Fit kind of tight even after trimming of the factory caulk.............looks fantastic compared to the old black plastic ones.

Got the idea from the SRO forum

John

I just bought 6 of the ones pictured below on ebay, including shipping costs, for $8.70 each....

if that is the picture of the actual item you are missing the adhesive foam ring that fits under the top edge and keeps the SS from digging into the gel coat.

I hear the foam is a $6.00 part... just kidding

On my 260 I had bought them through the dealer. It's the way to go.

I just picked some up from my dealer (under $14 ea), and it is the way to go.

This is an inexpensive mod that is really worth every dime.

It make the boat look brand new. It's amazing how the white plastic looks so dirty all of the time.

That's probably why SR puts them in the new boats.
