Reversing Helm bench???

1985 Sea Ray 390EC.
The way my helm bench is mounted, it can be picked up and spun 180° and put back in place. It is not very easy and takes 2 people, we usually do it when anchored out all weekend. I plan to redo that seat, has anyone put a helm bench in where the back rest flops either way?

On my '86 340 I re-organized the entire cockpit seating, but the helm was changed out to be a swivel help chair.

That looks good, but a bench is ideal. Usually one of my wife, kids or even the dog jumps up there with me while cruising.
Here are photos of my layout, the previous owner built C shaped benches. The forward and aft seats have built in coolers with drains the the port side seat is just storage, he did a lot of modifications. We were pretty lucky to get a hold of this one
