On Monday I removed the 2 - 30amp shore power cables at my slip from the boat and relocated the boat over to a service dock for the past few days to have some fiberglass work done. While on that service dock I used a spare 30 amp cable I had to get shore power to the one side of the panel that handle fridge/freezer.

This afternoon I removed that cable and returned the boat to my slip...Mind you, nothing has changed at my slip in terms of power. I plugged my two fixed shore power cable back in in ..turned things on at the panel a got a "reverse" polarity" warning on one side of the panel.

I swapped one of the cables out with the spare I used at the service dock and now things are fine...

Ok...what just happened? The fixed shore power cables are not abused and circumstances at the dock didn't change to cause the issue...

Any thoughts?
