i need to replace the springs, mount studs, u bolts, and hubs on my shorelander trailer. it came from the dealer with a 1999 searay 180 br

Anyone know what the axle is rated for? which springs i need?

also which hubs.

I have a good understanding of the springs and the work involved, but i dont have a clue about hubs.

might be easier just to call the technical help line for a major trailer parts company such as 'etrailer' and describe what you have and what you want to replace....they should be able to advise you on the parts needed based on the size and weight of your boat....

Guessing this is a single axle trailer. I wonder if you couldn't pick up a used axle, hub, spring set at a salvage yard, or junked trailer.

You might have to change the hanger's, would definately pull the hubs and repack, but that might be a pretty inexpensive solution.

i live in a salt water area. if i could find a junk yard, i think they would be just as bad. They seem to be solid, just covered in flaky rust. I cant see if they are bad, and i dont want to find out the hard way..

Thanks for the info, ill give them a call.

I'm thinking there should be a tag near the tongue of your trailer with the capacity stamped on it. That might give you an idea what you currently have.

I called Shorelandr' directly about replacing some decals and they were very helpful, Might want to try that.
