I want to know if anyone has advise on replacing the screens on a 400 sedan bridge

This will get you what you seek:

Click on the search tool.

Enter "screen" as a "title only" search.

Thanks
it appears that all the window assembly comes apart from the outside do the boat
will give it a try
thanks again

Yes, but usually the screens get replaced from the inside - whether it be pop-in or glue-in. BUT, as you are in the Sport Yacht segment, I am not very familiar with them. Maybe the port lights used there are different.

I *think* your port lights were made by Bomar. Might be Lewmar. Check their websites - you might find a schematic of your portlight.

It's not as hard as it looks. Open the port from the inside and pry out the gasket with a screwdriver. The old screen will probably come out with it. You can replace the screen at the hardware store and reseal it. If you damage the gasket, your sea ray dealer has a replacement (gasket and screen in a frame that fits in a groove in the gasket and an adhesive strip on the gasket) for about $35.

thanks and i will get started this weekend

Savannah, Call Bomar at 603 826 5791 and tell them what you need. The folks there are very knowledgeable and helpful. You can order a new gasket and screen in a kit for each portlight. Approximately $23.00 each. You replace them from the inside with the portlight opened. You can also order new portlights if you need them. I recently ordered them for my 1997 Sea Ray 400 Sedan Bridge. They arrived just a few days after the order was placed. The part number for mine is: P100-04-Retro.
Hope this helps.
