330DA, trying to remove port windows to replace screens and recaulk. lots of adhesives and screws are not coming out on the inside at all. caulk barrier has been broken on the outside, (4) screws remove from exterior, inside loosened but will not completly dismount from nut or thread on weather side. any help???

Was the window leaking? You don't remove ANY screws just to change the screens. You just pry out the gasket from the inside with the port hole fully open. I have never removed those other screws so I can't be of any help there. If you need further advice on just screen/gasket replacement let me know! Good Luck!

Todd,
yes only one had a leak, from under the housing.
i did get it off, it was a son of a *****, lots of sealant.
thanks for the screen procedure, i didnt want to rip the rubber membrane. and i wasnt sure.
but its all done now.
as always thanks for the good info.

I had replace my screens about a year and half ago. I call Bomar (16038265797) and bought a replacement kit which involve replacing the gasket (with a center groove all the way around ) and the screen kit that snapped in.
I am not sure what type of windows you have, but I have the oval kind with part number P100-04-Retro($23.oo/per kit). You can also replace the window( Plastic) for about $81.00 per piece. I also tryed to take the whole SS assembly off and it was a *****! If you need to take it off, you need to get some spray material(sell it at West Marine) that soften and melts the chaulking so you can easily pry the window assembly away from the fiber glass using a putty knife. Be careful because you can easily chip your fiber glass.

Ted ,
Thanks, turns out i didnt have to go that far, only one port window failure, there werent any gaskets inside, just copious amounts of caulk. removed and replaced, water tested all good.
though if there are replacement gaskets that take up voids and require less work, i'm all for it.
the 603 area code is nice and close to me. i could probaly just go to the counter with any issue.
luckily i havent any issues with the forward bow windows as yet.
much appreciated info.
Matt

PS, good looking boat, you spend some time on it i suppose.
nice job.

Just received my new screens from bomar today ( p-100-04 retro ), not exactly sure how to put them in . They sent me 4 screens and 4 big rubber gaskets that have a groove all the way around with an adhesive strip on one side. Can anybody explain how they go in . Its looks as if the gasket is to big for the screen.

I have the same part. Can you tell me how hard it is to re install that big rubber gasket.:smt100

Here's a post on how I just did a complete re-bed and new gaskets and screens. If your only doing gaskets and screens you should be able to remove old gasket and screens, make sure to clean any old adhesive off of the portlight before installing the new gasket.
