Hi, I want to replace all the halogen bulbs with LED. Question, for the indirect fixtures round ones, how do you replace the bulbs? Do they pull down or do you have to remove the lens? Also, the fluorescent fixtures the one in the salon, has anyone replaced them? They seem to buzz and it’s getting a little annoying. Would like to replace with another type of 110 V fixture? It appears to be one piece with the fixture and speakers..

Not sure if yours are the same as mine because the year of your boat isn’t in your signature but in case your lights are the same:
The factory interior lights in my 2002 410 Sundancer are 12 volt, not 110.
The round lights mounted in the ceiling are held in with springs and have to be pulled down to change the G4 bulbs.
Mine swivel to direct light as needed.
There are two pivot points that they swivel on.
The two spots to pull down on are exactly 90 degrees from the pivot points.
I used plastic automotive door panel/trim removal tools to get mine down, but you could use a couple of plastic scrapers or similar items if you want.
Once you pull them down you’ll see that there is enough slack on the wires to easily unplug the connectors.
The lenses are very thin and fragile. They can easily break and will be hard to replace.
For that reason, I removed the fixtures and took them apart to swap the bulbs on the counter in my galley with a couple of beach towels spread across it to make for a nice soft work surface.
I don’t have a fluorescent fixture in my salon, but did add some 110 volt LED lighting under my upper galley cabinets. They’re plugged in to an outlet inside my forward most upper galley cabinet.
No issues with them buzzing.
Hope this helps!

FYI, I'm not sure if the specific florescent bulbs you're looking for are available, but with the trend toward LED 110v lighting there are retrofit bulbs available for a lot of florescent applications. Heads up, there are some requirements for specific drivers for the fixture (if the existing is not compatible, it needs to be replaced with compatible drivers). The driver is the transformer box that is in the fixture, not the bulb.

Thanks, just replaced all the spots with LED, perfect.. didn’t get to that fluorescent yet, going to Home Depot tonight see see my options for LED fixture..

Glad it worked out.
The 110 volt LEDs under my cabinets are a string of three evenly spaced.
Gives off a pretty nice light

Here is what I have. I took the picture from a low angle so you can see the lights, but at a normal angle in the cabin they give off a nice under counter light.

Greetings, All....

For our 1999 400 DA, I replaced all below deck halogen bulbs with Satco S9542 LED G4 1.6W 12V. These bulbs use all the available real estate, but they fit. Regarding getting to the bulbs, you need to be a careful. The entire housing must be pulled from the ceiling. The housing is pinched VERY tight. The housing has two springs on opposite sides that team along with simple friction to jam the housing in place. I used a butter knife's long edge to pry just enough to wedge a finger in and ultimately a second finger to drop the housing a quarter inch or so. Now, you can see where the two springs are located. Be certain to remove the housing with both springs pinched closed with fingers. If you remove the housing from the ceiling and the springs snap out freely they can break thus rendering the unit less secure upon re-installation.
