I have 2000 340 Sundancer. Would like to replace the factory horn with an air horn. Questions:
1. Is there an after market air horn sounding horn that can be installed in the original horn location (near stbd bow cleat) or is only way to achieve air horn sound with a true "trumpet" style air horn surface mounted on deck or arch?
2. If I need to go to a trumpet style up on the radar arch(spoiler) how difficult is routing the wiring. Is power to the horn run from the actual switch at the helm or is that momentary contact switch mearly a relay to a solenoid switch closer to the actual horn and 12V power supply.
Thanks.

YES there is! I installed a Hidden Horn by AFI Expensive... but I found one at great lakes skipper.

AFI Marine 11059 Marine Concealed Single Mini Trumpet Below Deck Air Horn

Amazon has it as well

I installed it in my 240 Sundeck Fits under the gunnel where the factory duck quack goes. Had to make the hole a little larger, but not a problem. It is a real air horn with a mini compressor. Had to use a relay since it pulled more current than the factory horn.

Any recommendations on brand of trumpet style air horns.

Kahlenberg is the best, expensive but top quality. With Kahlenberg you need a compressor and air tank, which requires a separate switch to control the compressor. The compressor is noisy as hell, and it turns on and off somewhat randomly because it is activated when the air tank pressure goes below a certain level. The compressor is not ignition protected, so it cannot be mounted in the engine compartment, where you wouldn’t hear it.

AFI makes trumpet style air horns that are pretty good quality. The AFI air horns use a small rotary direct drive compressor, which eliminates the need for an air tank, so the installation is simpler. I think the AFI air horns are fine for small and mid size cruisers.
