Looking to replace the carpet in my '16 270 SDX with something more contemporary. What are my options? Where to get these items?

When we had carpeted boats, we bought replacement carpet at a home carpet store. Many remnants work and are cheap because the amount of carpet needed for a boat is small compared to a home. So stores have left overs that can be had for next to nothing. I had years of experience with building projects in my former career and learned that 100% nylon carpets hold up the best in high volume applications. The problem with boats is the traffic pattern is narrow and you end up crushing of the fabric if it is not durable. Antron nylon has good resistance to crushing and does not absorb stains because the dye goes all of the way through through the fibers. Buy a dense pile nylon carpet. As an aside I would think you have contemporary carpet since it is only 4 years old.

Just noticed your boat is a day boat as opposed to a cabin style. I second the suggestion to look at snap in carpets. Also try to buy nylon carpeting if they have it. Sorry for the confusion.

Maybe contemporary wasnt the right term. Some boats have what they call Sea Foam maybe? Thats what Im looking for

You might be thinking of Sea Dek. That's the name brand of the foam flooring. Check out their website. They have a ton of color and style options. They may already have template for your boat. If it's not listed on their website be sure to contact them. My boat wasn't listed but they had it. Not very hard to install since it's peel and stick. There are other sources for the generic stuff. Sometimes referred to as EVA flooring. Check out Ebay. Not custom but if you are handy you can do some amazing things with this product. Look for other threads on this sight. There are lots of examples. I just did my swim platform and it looks and performs great. Updated the look of my boat. IMO.
