I've found a site called www.swimplatforms.com They carry a whole line of swim platforms, for almost any boat built. I looked at the one for my 39 EC
It's a do it yourself project, and the supports line up with the orignal bolt holes. It's wider and longer. The best part is, it's 4" higher then the origlan one. Which makes it an easy step down. It has a built in anchor storage compartment, as well as a hide away ladder. Mine would run about $3000. But it really upgrades the look of your boat. check out the site. I e-mailed them anad received a very quick reply. :smt038

PaulC: Iam looking at a 39EC. What are your thoughts on the 39EC? How long have you owned it? How does it handle 3 to 4 footers? Thank you so much for your help! :smt001  JC

Seeing that 39EC up there ... If anyone is ever interested in a pristine 39EC ... my slip neighbor is selling his '89 with gassers. The boat is absolutely great. A couple of pics below .. more Pics and detail avail on request.

Hi Paul,

I bought a platform from those guys this past Spring and have enjoyed it ever since. On my boat it was like adding a huge patio. Swimplatforms.com does great work and I'm sure you'll be impressed with the craftmanship. The owner (Scott) is a former Searay employee.

I had some pics of my installation process 'on the SRO board' (how many times are we gonna hear that), but I haven't seen a photo gallery here (yet).

edit: Hmmm... thought I added a couple of attachments but I don't see them. Got to figure this new board out I guess.

39EC

the 39 EC is our first Sea Ray. and our first express We've had Carver's and Silverton's all Fly bridge boats.

It's the best boat we've owned to date. We plan on staying with Sea Ray's
Our retirment boat will be a 44 with disels. There are several good points about the 39EC. one is the beam 13'-10" its a very stable boat we've been in 4-6 foot seas with out any problems. she cut right through it. the fact that it weights almost 10 tons wet, also helps It's also very responive to helm. We do have the biggest props that SeaRay offererd back then, there 21/19. It really makes a difference. Try it you'll like it. Good luck in your search. The one the other showed above looks in good shape It looks just like ours.

I installed a platform from swimplatforms.com. Very, very easy install. They said it would take 6-7 hours, but it actually took 3-4. Great looking too! I'd highly recommend them. They even provide you with their cell phone numbers to call them on Sunday if you have any questions during the install!

I purchased a platform from swim platforms.com several years. Great product. Highly recommended.
