I did mine last spring and could not be happier.

all pics of the new carpet look nice.....do the darker color carpets tend to heat up more in the direct sunlight than lighter shades?....if so are the dark carpets too hot to walk on barefooted in the hot summer days?...i like the darker shades but not sure about them holding heat....

Mine is a bit warmer than the sand color the old carpet was. It isn't bad though. Keep in mind I'm in WA and it's not 100 degrees......90 at the high. Mine isn't the berber either, it's the cut pile and I like the feel on the feet. It does show more of the lint, etc though. Otherwise it's fantastic and the backing is much, much better than the original.

I called Corinthian Carpet and spoke with Sean. My boat is a 1998 Sea Ray 240 Sundeck. He said they didn’t have a pattern for it but it would cost me around $800 for the rubber backed cut pile carpet. He also told me we’d have to put the snaps on since there just isn’t any way for them to insure placement and the carpet doesn’t stretch. We bought his pattern, $30, cut it out and returned it. Lisa called me and told me the price would be $1400 with another $100 for a rush. I had them mail back my pattern, another $11, and had it made locally. The local guy did a great job with a slightly shorter pile for $700. You might be a little suspicious of Corinthian’s quotes. A 240 isn’t a very rare boat, so to have them miss the price by so much was a little disappointing.
