OK, so my horn has tooted it's last toot. Pulled the old one out and as you know it's a 5 minute fix if the right horn is in hand.

First of all, have any of you guys determined what is the best "drop-in" replacement?

And any idea of whether this will fit?

I've got plans for someday adding a LOUD air-horn, but for now, I just want to quickly drop in something that will be an immediate plug and play fix.

(BTW, went to my local West Marine, which is a "mini-store", and as usual, not a thing in stock that would work.)

Any suggestions truly appreciated....tried to search here but didn't find anything specific to my type boat....most threads were more for the cruisers and motor yachts.....as you know, this is a different type. (I think!)

Just a quick follow-up for anyone who may have the same issue in the future......I wound up going on eBay and bought a brand new exact OEM replacement that was literally "plug and play", same connector, everything identical to the original, so it was a 5 minute fix. AMAZING how much LOUDER the new horn is than the old one!!! I'm sure at one time the old one sounded like the new horn, but time and tide (we are in salt water) took it's toll! (Love the alliteration in that sentence!)

Still would like to get something like an air horn at some point, but there is always something VERY attractive in a "5 minute fix" that solves the problem and gets you back on the water!
