Repair Manuals

For my 2002 Sea Ray 176BR, I've been able to download the Owner's manual, Parts Manual, and Service Manual for the Mercruiser Engine. The owner's manual refers to the operator's manual, is this a separate manual? Does anyone know how to get repair manuals?

I'm not sure what you're asking. You asked about the operator's manual but stated you already have it? You also mentioned you have the service manual but asked about a repair manual? The service manual IS the repair manual. A lot of the information in there, though, will be brief as it's written for someone that already has knowledge in service marine engines.

The service manual, though, is the key thing to have if you're doing your own wrenching.

I appreciate the welcome. It's my first year with a boat. It's been wonderful so far. Even my wife is in love. I corrected one typo that might make my question clearer in regard to the operator's manual.

The repair manual is limited to the engine. Any other manuals to cover the outboard and other mechanical parts to the boat?

Ah, OK. An operators manual would have been something that came with the engine, from Merc (the owner's manual comes from Sea Ray). It's very basic - you're not missing anything. The service manual is the golden goose.
