Hello,
I have a 1994 180 BR that has many cosmetic issues that need repairing and I would like to get a price estimate and some tips on how to fix some.
1. Windshield shattered, I know I cant do it myself so whats the price of a new Taylor made clear curve window.
2. Back Hatch- Fell off of the hinges and is being held on by the pneumatic holders (which need to be replaced) so I would like some tips/ cost estimates on how to fix it because I don't want to spend even more money at the marina.
3. The boat is just strewn with scratches of all deepness and length, there aren't many very deep ones but there are a few medium deep ones. I want to know how I can get them off effectively. I have scratch remover but don't know if I need a buffer of any sort. So tips on how to buff and such are greatly appreciated.
4. The gauges and stereo on boat don't work as they should. I think the stereo might be shot but the gauges are just acting goofy. I have a fairly shallow docking area and the trim will tell me its up all the way when i know its only 3/4ths of the way up, so the boat just causes a storm of muck at the bottom and im nervous ill bang a rock. It also is goofy when going fast, when i raise trim to get more speed, it doesn't tell me if it raised up, then ill hit it one more time and it will shoot up to 3/4ths of the way up. So could it be wiring or something else. Please tell me and if I can fix it give me some basic instructions on what to do, if you think it should be professionally looked at give me a price estimate.

Well I hate long posts, but I had to do it because I want my boat to be back in good condition, the motor and outdrive and hull are perfect, its just the little things. Thanks alot!

Unless the windshield is used on some other current model boat, the cost to make a new piece of glass will probably exceed the value of your boat. Sorry. Call Taylor and ask. There are a few places that sell used stuff. You might get lucky. Try searching this site for names, email, url and phone numbers of such companies.

Finally, as Gary wrote elsewhere on this site, a descriptive subject like would get more responses. Something like "Need suggestions for windshield, hatch, electrical and gel coat repairs." I almost skipped the thread because of the non-descriptive subject.
