Last week we put the boat on the trailer and one of the cradles came off. The result is two very deep scratches of about a foot long by halve inch wide on the bottom of my sea ray 240 sundeck (see photos below).

What is the best way to (quickly) repair this? It would nice nice it it looks like the rest of the bottom, but I care more about quality of the fix than looks.

Thanks for any insights!

You’re all the way into the glass. This needs to be professionally inspected and repaired in my opinion. It’s not super difficult but I think it may be more then cosmetic so you should have it looked at by a pro.

If you're looking for a quick fix to get you thru the season, maybe marine tex will work. I have used it on my hull, but then it's bottom painted. You can then have it professionally repaired with gel coat in the off season.

Your hull number should describe the gel coat color and spectrum can match it.
Use a sanding bit on a rotary tool and smooth the scratch out. You'll probably have to widen it a tad. Follow the instructions for the gel coat and add it. Let dry and wet sand with 500-1000 grit until flush. If there are any pits, rinse and repeat. Then compound, polish and wax it. It'll look like it never happened.

It takes some time, but well worth it and you won't have an eyesore/reminder every time you pull the boat out IMO.
