I have some old davit mounts that are a trip hazard and my other system doesn't need them. They are held on by two bolts on the swim platform each. I'm assuming I should fill the holes with 5200? Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks.
I have had to do that a couple times from different setups I have had, I filled the hole with epoxy up to about 1/8” from the top and used 1/8” of matching gelcoat to finish it off you can barley see where it was done.

.

Interesting. Do you have any more information on what products you used or possibly some how to videos on how to do that?

You can use any epoxy, I use West System because I always have some around then I use a Spectrum patch kit with a color match to my boat, one additional note...I put a slight bevel on the hole with a counter sink bit this gives you a nice clean line for the gel coat.

Also, depending on the type of non-skip they sell matching mold to carry over the pattern. I watched a video online and it was quite cool. Basically you sprayed around the area with mold release filled the area and pressed down the pattern mold. When dry the overfill of the gelcoat was just peeled easily because of the mold release. I am thinking of doing that to fix a few small chips.
